Although elements of decentralized clinical trials (DCTs) have been available for several years – including telemedicine, home health providers, mobile devices and remote monitoring – these approaches are only recently being adopted on a significant scale. The DCT model requires new roles and partnerships, with changes for all stakeholders that will likely continue after the pandemic.
